Anne and I had a “meat up” after work in Lincolnshire. She was kind enough to hang onto my backpack all week, and I was glad to get it back so that I could pack for my marathon!
We went to the Beer Market, which was hella crowded, and out of pretty much anything I wanted. So I stuck with what I knew – Pull Chain and Threadless IPA from Finch’s. I also had a pretty good Helles Lager from Surly.

I don’t know if you guys know this, but I totally ran a marathon. Afterwards, we celebrated with Stone’s Go to IPA (which was DELICIOUS, btw). I swear, I earned every last drop of that beer. It could have been a stout, and still been amazing.

To make a long story short, we tried to eat at Three Floyd’s, but were unsuccessful. Kelly decided that if we went to Chili’s, they would actually feed us. So off to Chili’s we went, to sit at the bar and ogle the domestic beer list (sarcasm). I went with a Blue Moon, but really, I would have drank anything at that point.

Shamrock Shuffle Day, aka the BEST day. Everyone was all judging me and shit for doing this race, but I’m so glad that I did. I love this day. And the best part is the post-race beer, which I drank while sitting on my mylar blanket in the sunshine.

Oh, and then I went to Bdubs, but I don’t have a picture of that. I had the Sam Adams Rebel IPA, since the Daisy Cutter keg was dry. Probably because that’s what I usually drink!
Jakre is in Michigan on business for the week, so I have the house to myself! Basically, it means that I can turn off the TV and read books all night. And paint my nails. And my house stays clean.
It was warm enough to open my enclosed porch, so I hung out with the doors open and listened to the sound of the rain.

I had a long day, because life is really hard sometimes, you guys. Today was also the start of Camp NaNoWriMo, and I was already falling behind on my word count goal for the day (1667). I decided that beer would somehow help my magical writing skills.
