TV time with mo

Remember that time way back in the terrible January when I posted about Parks and Recreation?  (The TV show.  Duh.)  Well, I recently spent my work at home days rewatching the entire series of The Office on Netflix, and now I am proud to say that I have a Top 10 list of those as well.  Without further adieu…

(my) top 10 episodes of The Office:

10.  Ben Franklin (Season 3, Episode 14)
Why I love it:  Michael asks Jim to hire a male stripper for the ladies, and he hires a scholastic speaker instead.  That’s pretty much all you need to know.

9.  The Deposition (Season 4, Episode 8)
Why I love it:  The excerpts from Michael’s diary.  The end.

8.  Launch Party (Season 4, Episode 3)
Why I love it:  Dwight tries to outsell a computer, Michael kidnaps the pizza boy, and Angela is extremely bitchy.  (Angela is my favorite when she is angry and snarky.)

7.  Happy Hour (Season 6, Episode 21)
Why I love it:  For this line – “I’m Date Mike.  Nice to meet me.”

6.  The Client (Season 2, Episode 7)
Why I love it:  Michael changes the meeting from the Radisson to Chili’s, because “Chili’s is the new golf course.”  And he orders an Awesome Blossom, extra awesome.  And sings the baby back ribs jingle.  And tells a joke about a brown Probe.  Then the rest of the office reads Michael’s screenplay.  It makes me laugh like an idiot, every time.

5.  Email Surveillance (Season 2, Episode 9)
Why I love it:  Because when Michael crashes the party and commandeers the karaoke machine, somehow singing a duet by himself, Jim jumps in and sings with him so that he won’t be too embarrassed.  It’s one of my favorite Jim moments.

4.  A Benihana Christmas (Season 3, Episode 10)
Why I love it:  “I marked her arm.”

3.  Fun Run (Season 4, Episode 1)
Why I love it:  Does it really need an explanation?

2.  Diwali (Season 3, Episode 6)
Why I love it:  Michael’s song about Diwali, sung to the tune of Adam Sandler’s Hanukkah Song.

1.  Dinner Party (Season 4, Episode 9)
Why I love it:  So many creepy, hilarious, bizarre things.  It’s like a slapstick comedy movie, shoved in a half hour TV show.  Also, there are plenty of hilarious That’s What She Said moments to keep your mind occupied!

  1. Doesn't Ben Franklin also include the line “Who wants some man meat?” Because I love that. And Ben Franklin hitting on Pam.

I would also add Initiation – Dwight taking Ryan to Schrute farms just kills me. “Just get in the coffin.” Healthcare and Office Olympics are also pretty great.

  2. Ben Franklin also has Michael grilling on the George Foreman that he grilled his foot on, bahaha.

I like Office Olympics, but only for the line at Michael's condo when Dwight goes, “Oh, a shared wall. You don't want to put your TV on that. What if your neighbor throws his wife against the wall?” Jakre and I say that all the time whenever we hear loud noises in our own place.
